Hire a Paragon race wheelset for your event. Ride it, race it, and if you decide it belongs in your bike, every dollar of the hire fee comes off the purchase price.

Buy the wheels you hired and the hire costs you nothing. The full hire fee is credited against the purchase price of any Paragon wheelset, any time within 30 days of your race. You are not paying for a rental, you are paying a deposit on a decision.
Most hire services pocket the fee and never see you again. We would rather you ended up on our wheels, so the money follows you into the purchase.

We recommend collecting five to seven days out so you get a proper ride in before race day.
Pay and confirm
Hire fee is paid when you order. The wheels come out of availability the moment an order lands, so what the form shows as free is genuinely free for your dates.

Within three days of your event, email info@paragon.bike and we book the pickup from your address and send your consignment label. Return freight is on us.

What comes with the hire
Bring your own cassette and rotors
Wheels are disc brake only and arrive inspected, true and ready. You supply your own cassette and brake rotors and fit them yourself or through your bike shop. We do not fit cassettes, pads or rotors.
Ready to race
Tubeless or clincher, your choice of tyre and pressure set for your weight and course. Wheels go out inspected, true and ready.
Support on the day
You get a direct number for race weekend. Fitment questions, pressure advice, course calls on depth, message us and we answer.
The rules, plainly
- Australia only. Pickup in Sydney or freight to an Australian address.
- Triathlon, Ironman and time trial events only. No mass start road races, criteriums or bunch events.
- One of each set. Availability is live. Anything already booked for your dates is greyed out and cannot be selected.
- Two weeks is the base hire fee. Every week past that adds 25% of the hire fee, per wheel option. Hire runs to a maximum of eight weeks.
- Book your return within three days of your event. Email info@paragon.bike, we book a pickup from your address and email the consignment label. Return freight is covered by us. After three days the late rate applies.
- Hire fee credited in full against any Paragon wheelset bought within 30 days of the hire ending.
- Damage. No bond is taken at checkout and fair wear is on us. Crash damage, lost parts or a written off wheel is charged at repair or replacement cost. Full details are in the hire terms.
Questions
Can I hire two different sets?
Yes, pick up to two options. That is how most riders split it, a tri-spoke or shallow front for control with the disc out the back for speed. The page will not let you double book the same physical wheel.
How do you know what is already booked?
Every booking holds the actual wheels for your dates, so a set that is out on your weekend is greyed out and unselectable. One of each set exists, and the calendar is the truth.
Can I hire wheels for a road race or bunch event?
No. Hire is limited to triathlon, Ironman and time trial events. Mass start racing and bunch events are excluded.
What if my dates are already taken?
We confirm every booking by hand within 24 hours. If your dates clash with an existing hire we tell you straight away and refund you in full, or move you onto another set at no cost if one suits your race.
Do you fit my cassette and rotors?
No. The wheels are disc brake only, and you supply your own cassette and brake rotors. Fit them yourself or have your bike shop do it before race day. Tell us your drivetrain when you book so we can confirm the freehub suits.
How do I claim the credit if I buy?
Buy any Paragon wheelset within 30 days of your hire ending and we take the full hire fee off the price. One credit per wheelset, and we apply it to the order for you.
Can I collect the wheels at the race?
Sydney pickup by appointment, and for events in and around Sydney we can usually meet you at the venue the day before. Freight is available Australia wide and is quoted once we know your postcode.
How do I return the wheels?
Within three days of your event, email info@paragon.bike with the address to collect from. We book the pickup and email you a consignment label, and we cover the return freight. Pack them in the packaging they arrived in. If you do not book the return within three days, the late return rate starts.
What about tyres and pressure?
Wheels go out with tyres fitted and pressure set for your weight and the course. Tubeless setups get fresh sealant before every hire.
